About Us
Level Up Academy is a training facility providing quality volleyball training for athletes in and around the Long Beach and South Bay areas. The team at Level Up Academy want to provide our athletes with everything needed to take their game to the next level. We offer private training, small group training, beginner courses (Block Party), beach training (Beach Party), sports performance courses (Team & Work), and many more. It is our goal to provide premier training at an affordable cost so that we are able to grow the game of volleyball.
Meet The Team
JONATHAN CHARETTE
Owner
Charette is a former professional volleyball player that trained with the United States National Team. He is Head Coach of Men's Volleyball at Long Beach City College where he also serves as a Strength & Conditioning Coach. LBCC MVB has won 3 State Titles under Charette, 5 Conference Titles including the last 4 consecutive years. Jon is able to train and matriculate athletes from the Junior College level to the NCAA and NAIA levels with consistency. He wants to replicate this opportunity for youth athletes looking to take their game to the next level with Level Up Academy.
GERALD AQUININGOC
Owner
Gerald is a former Coach of the Year for Boys Volleyball at Carson High School and a beach volleyball player trained under Olympic Gold Medalist, Eric Fonoimoana. He is an Assistant Coach of Men's Volleyball at Long Beach City College where he also serves as a Recruiter and Scout. Prior to joining forces with Charette at LBCC, Gerald won 3 Los Angeles City Section Championships, two at Carson and one at San Pedro for girls. Aquiningoc has close ties to the Carson community, Level Up Academy is his opportunity to give back through the game of volleyball.
ELIAS JIMENEZ
Pod Trainer
Coach Elias is the perfect Pod Trainer. Jimenez has tremendous experience having played high level volleyball from an early age. He uses his experience to help athletes see the game through his eyes. He has a unique way of transferring his knowledge of the game to younger athletes. He is currently training athletes between the ages of 12 to 16 and taking their games to the next level. Coach Elias has two kids that are standouts on their teams, Beatriz (LBCC) & Dante (LBVC 17's).
BEATRIZ JIMENEZ
Block Party Trainer
